Bio

Alison “Ali” Vance is a singer/songwriter originally from Hurricane, West Virginia. She currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee after moving there to pursue a career in country music. Alison has been singing since the age of seven. She began singing in church under the influence of her parents. Her father also played bass in a West Virginia- based bluegrass band, which sparked Alison’s love for bluegrass music. While she is well-versed in a large array of genres, country music is the genre that her heart calls home. Alison’s small town dreams and big city sound has placed her on a variety of stages, ranging from county fairs to nationally broadcasted television shows. Through the influences of artists like Chris Stapleton, Alison Krauss, Bonnie Raitt, and Patsy Cline, Alison has developed a signature sound unlike any other artist played on country music radio. In 2020, Alison released her EP titled, “Too Far Gone,” under her stage name, Ali Vance. Her single, also titled, “Too Far Gone,” quickly made it to local airwaves. In May of 2021, she joined DownRiver Collective, an up and coming bluegrass band, as their lead vocalist. You can find both Ali Vance and DownRiver Collective on Spotify, Apple Music, and all other major streaming platforms. Alison is a graduate of Belmont University with a Bachelor of Music in Commercial Music. While at Belmont, Alison was trained in both classical and commercial voice. She strives to teach students about the importance of healthy singing, and emphasizes on stylistic correctness.
